Preparation:
Produced from sera of goats immunized with highly pure Recombinant Human IL-1β. The anti-Human IL-1β-specific antibody was purified by affinity chromatography and then biotinylated.

Sandwich ELISA:
For detection of hIL-1β by sandwich ELISA (using 100 µL/well antibody solution), a concentration of 0.25–1.0 µg/mL is required. This biotinylated polyclonal antibody, in conjunction with PeproTech Polyclonal Anti-Human IL-1β (500-P21BG) as a capture antibody, allows detection of at least 0.2–0.4 ng/well of recombinant hIL-1β.

Western Blot:
To detect hIL-1β by Western blot analysis, use at 0.1–0.2 µg/mL. With compatible secondary reagents, the detection limit for recombinant hIL-1β is 1.5–3.0 ng/lane under reducing or non-reducing conditions.

Target Information

Interleukin-1 beta (IL-1β) is a proinflammatory cytokine expressed by monocytes, macrophages, and dendritic cells. It is synthesized as a 31 kDa inactive pro-form and activated through inflammasome-mediated cleavage into a 17 kDa mature form. IL-1β plays a key role in innate immune responses, cytokine signaling, and inflammation. Elevated IL-1β levels are associated with various chronic inflammatory diseases, and IL-1β neutralizing antibodies have potential therapeutic applications.
