Preparation:
Produced from sera of rabbits immunized with highly pure Recombinant Human RELMβ. The anti-Human RELMβ-specific antibody was purified by affinity chromatography and subsequently biotinylated.
Sandwich ELISA:
To detect Human RELMβ by sandwich ELISA (100 µL/well antibody solution), use 0.25–1.0 µg/mL of this antibody. When paired with PeproTech Polyclonal Anti-Human RELMβ (500-P217) as a capture antibody, it enables detection of 0.2–0.4 ng/well of Recombinant Human RELMβ.
Western Blot:
For Western blot detection of Human RELMβ, use at 0.1–0.2 µg/mL. When used with compatible secondary reagents, the detection limit is 1.5–3.0 ng/lane under either reducing or non-reducing conditions.

Resistin (also known as Adipocyte Secreted Factor, ADSF, or FIZZ3) is a cytokine secreted by adipocytes and is implicated in glucose metabolism and insulin resistance.
Elevated serum resistin levels in obese, diabetic mice antagonize insulin activity, suggesting a role in type 2 diabetes.
Resistin gene expression requires C/EBPα and is modulated by coactivators CBP and p300 through histone acetylation.
PPARγ and RXR ligands have been shown to downregulate resistin expression in adipocytes.
