Target Information
CA125 determinant is present on a high molecular weight, mucin-like glycoprotein. It is expressed in amnion and derivatives of coelomic and mullerian epithelium (pleura, pericardium, peritoneum). In adult tissues, it is found in epithelial cells of the fallopian tube, endometrium, endocervix, pancreas, colon, gall bladder, stomach, kidney, apocrine sweat gland, and mammary gland. It is also found in mesothelial cell linings and in ovarian tumors of serous, endometrioid, or clear cell types, as well as adenocarcinomas of mullerian type.
