Target Information
Laminins are extracellular matrix glycoproteins and major noncollagenous components of basement membranes. They play roles in cell adhesion, differentiation, migration, signaling, neurite outgrowth, and metastasis. Laminins consist of three non-identical chains (alpha, beta, gamma; formerly A, B1, B2) forming a cruciform structure. Mutations in the LMNB1 gene are associated with adult-onset autosomal dominant demyelinating leukodystrophy (ADLD).
