This FG4R monoclonal antibody reacts with the DYKDDDDK tag. This motif is frequently fused to the N- or C-terminus of proteins to facilitate purification (e.g., affinity chromatography and immunoprecipitation) and/or detection.
This antibody recognizes the DYKDDDDK sequence anywhere within the protein of interest (N-terminus, C-terminus, or internal).

Applications Tested: Immunoblotting of reduced cell lysate expressing a DYKDDDDK-tagged protein ≤ 1 µg/mL. Antibody should be titrated for optimal assay performance.

Target Information

DYKDDDDK tag, also known as FLAG tag, is an eight–amino acid peptide (Asp-Tyr-Lys-Asp-Asp-Asp-Asp-Lys) used for protein purification, detection, and localization.
It can be fused to either terminus of a protein, enabling easy identification and isolation using anti-FLAG antibodies.
The FLAG tag is highly hydrophilic, minimizing interference with protein structure or function.
Widely used in molecular biology and biochemistry for protein-protein interaction, expression, and localization studies.
