Target Information
MCM2 (Mini Chromosome Maintenance Protein 2) is a nuclear protein involved in regulating DNA replication and cell cycle progression.
Also known as CDCL1, mitotin, or BM28, MCM2 plays a key role in the initiation of DNA replication and is associated with early S-phase proteins.
It has been mapped to chromosome 3q21, where chromosomal breaks have been linked to acute myeloid leukemia (AML).
