Product Description
SERPINB2 (serpin peptidase inhibitor B2) belongs to the large family of serine protease inhibitors (serpins), which share structural similarities. It is constitutively expressed in specific cell types such as trophoblasts, neurons, pre-adipocytes, macrophages, and keratinocytes.
The intracellular form of SERPINB2 is non-glycosylated with a molecular weight of approximately 47 kDa, while the secreted form is glycosylated with a molecular weight of approximately 60 kDa. It contains a C-D loop composed of α-helices that act as bridges between domains.
