This protein is composed of 420 amino acids coded by 1260 nucleotides, and it has a molecular weight of 47kDa. It is an evolutionary conserved protein, and is conserved across plants and mammals. It is a single-pass type II transmembrane protein, which has a short cytoplasmic N-terminal and a bigger luminal C-terminal.
