The protein contains a BTB (broad-complex, tramtrack and bric a brac)/POZ (poxvirus and zinc finger) domain and multiple krüppel (C2H2) type zinc finger domains. ZBTB21 is part of the POK (POZ and kruppel) transcription factor family of proteins. It is widely expressed in human tissues.
