STK10 (serine/threonine kinase 10), also called lymphocyte-oriented kinase (LOK), is a member of the STE20 family. Its N-terminal contains the catalytic domain with eleven sub-domains characteristic of serine/threonine kinases. The C-terminal region forms α-helices that likely create a coiled-coil domain. Between the coiled-coil domain and the active site are SH3-binding motifs (PXXP), which are proline-rich. This gene is localized to human chromosome 5q35.1 and is predominantly expressed in lymphoid cells, but also in brain, kidney, lung, liver, small intestine, and colon.
