Gene Information
The Stabilin-2 (STAB2) gene with 69 exons spanning 180 kbp is mapped to human chromosome 12.
Stabilin-2, also known as fasciclin, EGF-like, laminin-type EGF-like, and link domain-containing scavenger receptor-2 (FEEL-2) or hyaluronan receptor for endocytosis (HARE), is a large receptor containing 2551 amino acids belonging to the family of fasciclin-like hyaluronan receptor homologues.
STAB2 transcript is expressed in spleen, bone marrow, and liver.
