STRONG PROMOTER E.COLI PLASMID can be used to drive the transcription of a gene of interest in E. coli bacteria. The promoter is a derivative of the strong RecA promoter which has been modified by random mutagenesis to create a slightly weaker promoter. It is part of our constitutive bacteria promoter range. In this product range OXB1 is the weakest promoter whilst OXB20 is the strongest. It does not require any inducing agent for activity and shows intermediate to strong activity.

Promoter Expression Level: Molecular cloning vector contains a strong constitutive E. coli promoter that was derived from the RecA promoter by random mutagenesis. It is part of our constitutive bacterial promoter range. This promoter (OXB16) shows the high levels of expression in the range with OXB1 showing the lowest level and OXB20 showing the highest level of expression. They require no inducing agent for expression.
