Product Specific Information

This R6H1 monoclonal antibody reacts with CD196 (also known as CCR6), a seven-transmembrane G protein-coupled receptor expressed on T, B, dendritic, natural killer, and Langerhans cells. CCR6 uniquely binds MIP-3α/CCL20, a chemoattractant for dendritic cells, effector/memory T cells, and B cells. It plays roles in host defense and inflammation at epithelial sites and is implicated in Th17 differentiation and CD4⁺FoxP3⁺ regulatory T cell development.

Applications Reported: Flow cytometry, Western blot, and immunoprecipitation.
Applications Tested: Tested by Western blot on human peripheral blood cell lysates; use ≤ 5 µg/mL.
Purity: >90% (SDS-PAGE).
Aggregation: <10% (HPLC).

Target Information

CCR6 is a beta chemokine receptor family member predicted to be a seven-transmembrane G protein-coupled receptor. It is preferentially expressed by immature dendritic cells and memory T cells. Its ligand, macrophage inflammatory protein 3 alpha (MIP-3α), is involved in B-lineage maturation, antigen-driven B-cell differentiation, and regulation of dendritic and T cell migration during immune responses. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding the same protein have been described.
