This antibody reacts with an extracellular epitope of CD203c, a transmembrane ectoenzyme expressed on basophils and mast cells, and is overexpressed upon their activation.
Target Information
The protein encoded by this gene belongs to a family of ectoenzymes involved in hydrolysis of extracellular nucleotides. These enzymes exhibit ATPase and ATP pyrophosphatase activities and are type II transmembrane proteins. Expression has been observed in glioma cells, prostate, and uterus, as well as in basophils and mast cells.
