Product Specific Information

The antibody was affinity-purified from mouse ascites by affinity chromatography using an epitope-specific immunogen. The purity is >95% (by SDS-PAGE).

Target Information

Torc1 acts as a transcriptional coactivator for CREB1, activating transcription through both consensus and variant cAMP response element (CRE) sites. It functions in the SIK/TORC signaling pathway, active when dephosphorylated, and independent of CREB1 Ser-133 phosphorylation. Enhances CREB1 interaction with TAF4 and regulates CREB-activated genes such as StAR. It is a potent coactivator of PGC1α and promotes mitochondrial biogenesis in muscle cells. In the hippocampus, Torc1 contributes to late-phase long-term potentiation (L-LTP) maintenance and may be required for dendritic growth of developing cortical neurons. Together with SIK1, it regulates light-induced entrainment of the circadian clock by coactivating CREB-mediated transcription of PER1.
