This antibody detects endogenous levels of c-Met only when phosphorylated at Tyr1235.
Target Information
MET (c-Met) is a receptor-like tyrosine kinase whose dysregulation has been linked to many types of human malignancies. Upon ligand activation, MET interacts with PI3-kinase subunit PIK3R1, PLCG1, SRC, GRB2, and STAT3. These interactions activate signaling cascades including RAS-ERK, PI3K-AKT, and PLCγ-PKC pathways.
MET plays critical roles in embryonic development such as gastrulation, muscle and neuron development, angiogenesis, and kidney formation. In adults, it contributes to wound healing, organ regeneration, and tissue remodeling. Dysregulation of MET has been associated with cancers including gastric, renal, and breast cancer, making it an important target for cancer therapeutics and diagnostics.
