Antibody detects endogenous levels of IGF1 Receptor only when phosphorylated at Tyr980.
Target Information
IGF1R (Insulin-like Growth Factor 1 Receptor) is a receptor tyrosine kinase activated by IGF-1 and IGF-2. It plays a role in various cancers and consists of two alpha and two beta subunits. The alpha subunits bind IGF-1 with higher affinity than IGF-2, leading to receptor conformational change and autophosphorylation at residues 1134, 1135, and 1136. Activated IGF-1R phosphorylates substrate proteins, initiating RAS/RAF/MAPK signaling cascades (ERK, p38, JNK), resulting in gene transcription that promotes proliferation.
