Product Specific Information

The 61D3 monoclonal antibody reacts with human CD14, a 53–55 kDa GPI-linked glycoprotein expressed on monocytes, macrophages, and some dendritic cells. CD14 binds LPS–LBP complexes with high affinity on monocyte surfaces.

Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis
Applications Tested: Pre-diluted and validated by flow cytometric analysis of normal human peripheral blood cells. Recommended use: 5 µL (0.5 µg) per test (100 µL final volume, 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test).

Alexa Fluor 660 emits at 690 nm and is suitable for spectral cytometers.

Target Information

CD14 is a 55 kDa GPI-anchored glycoprotein constitutively expressed on mature monocytes, macrophages, and neutrophils. It functions as a multifunctional lipopolysaccharide receptor and can be released into serum in soluble forms. CD14 participates in LPS binding via LBP and plays roles in immune and inflammatory responses, apoptosis, and infection.
Associated diseases include Mycobacterium chelonae infection and Croup.
