Product Specific Information

The eBio1D3 (1D3) monoclonal antibody reacts with mouse CD19, a 95 kDa transmembrane glycoprotein expressed on B cells at all developmental stages except plasma cells. Follicular dendritic cells also express CD19. Together with CD21, CD81, and MHC class II, CD19 forms a complex associated with the B-cell receptor (BCR), mediating signaling that induces tyrosine phosphorylation, calcium flux, and B-cell proliferation.

Target Information

CD19, a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily, is expressed on all peripheral B cells and some myeloid leukemia cells. It acts as a signal-amplifying co-receptor for the BCR, regulating B-cell activation and proliferation. Mutations in CD19 can cause hypogammaglobulinemia, while overexpression leads to B-cell hyperactivity. CD19 is a key marker for B-cell lineage and is widely used in immunophenotyping and leukemia research.
