Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
TACC1 is located on the 8p11 chromosomal region, amplified in ~15% of breast tumor samples. The short arm of chromosome 8 also contains FGFR1, which is overexpressed in most breast cancers.
TACC family members (TACC1, TACC2, TACC3) are closely mapped to FGFR1, FGFR2, and FGFR3 genes on chromosomes 4, 8, and 10, respectively. Due to phylogenetic similarity, TACC and FGFR are proposed to play comparable roles in cell growth and differentiation.
TACC1 contains a conserved C-terminal region similar to the Drosophila homolog D-TACC, which is essential for normal spindle function. Mammalian TACC proteins appear to interact with centrosomes and microtubules in a similar manner.
