Product Specific Information

For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

TACC1 is located on the 8p11 chromosomal region, amplified in about 15% of breast tumor samples. The short arm of chromosome 8 also contains FGFR1, which is overexpressed in most breast cancer tumors.
TACC family members (TACC1, TACC2, TACC3) are closely mapped to FGFR1, FGFR2, and FGFR3 genes on chromosomes 4, 8, and 10, respectively.
Due to their phylogenetic relationship, TACC and FGFR are proposed to have similar roles in cell growth and differentiation.
TACC1 contains a conserved C-terminal region similar to the Drosophila homolog D-TACC, which is essential for normal spindle function. Mammalian TACC proteins interact with centrosomes and microtubules in a similar manner.
