Target Information
Alzheimer’s disease (AD) 환자 중 유전적 형태를 가진 경우, presenilin 단백질(PSEN1, PSEN2) 또는 amyloid precursor protein (APP)에 변이가 존재합니다. 이러한 변이는 amyloid-beta의 긴 형태 생산을 증가시켜 AD 뇌에서 발견되는 amyloid 침착의 주요 성분을 형성합니다. Presenilin은 gamma-secretase 복합체를 통한 APP 처리에 영향을 미쳐, Notch 수용체 및 APP와 같은 막 단백질의 절단을 조절하는 것으로 알려져 있습니다.
