Thimet Oligopeptidase (THOP1)는 amyloid beta-peptide(Abeta)의 분해를 촉진하며, 항원 제시, 20 아미노산 이하의 신경펩타이드 대사, 세포질 펩타이드 분해에 관여합니다. Abeta의 항상성은 APP로부터의 생성과 다양한 단백질분해 효소에 의한 분해 간의 균형에 의해 조절됩니다.
