Target Information
GNG7 is a guanine nucleotide-binding protein involved in transmembrane signaling systems.
The beta and gamma chains are essential for GTPase activity, GDP–GTP exchange, and G protein–effector interactions.
GNG7 plays a role in regulating adenylyl cyclase signaling in specific brain regions and contributes to the formation or stabilization of the G(olf) heterotrimer required for adenylyl cyclase activity in the striatum.
