Product Specific Information
Store vial at -20°C prior to opening. Aliquot contents and freeze at -20°C or below for extended storage. Avoid cycles of freezing and thawing. Centrifuge product if not completely clear after standing at room temperature.
Stable for several weeks at 4°C as an undiluted liquid. Dilute only prior to immediate use.
This antibody is specific for human ATR protein. BLAST analysis suggests cross-reactivity with ATR from human, mouse, rat, monkey, dog, fish, and Xenopus based on 100% homology with the immunizing sequence. Cross-reactivity with other species has not been determined.
Target Information
ATR (ataxia telangiectasia and Rad3-related) is a serine/threonine kinase and DNA damage sensor that activates cell cycle checkpoint signaling upon DNA stress. It phosphorylates and activates proteins involved in inhibition of DNA replication and mitosis, promoting DNA repair, recombination, and apoptosis. ATR is essential for fragile site stability and centrosome duplication. Mutations in this gene cause Seckel syndrome 1.
