Product Specific Information
- In Western blots, approximately 25% cross-reactivity with recombinant mouse IL-17B is observed.
- No cross-reactivity with recombinant human IL-17, IL-17C, IL-17E, or IL-17F.
- In sandwich ELISAs, less than 0.5% cross-reactivity with rmIL-17B and no cross-reactivity with rhIL-17C, rhIL-17D, rhIL-17E, rhIL-17F, or rhIL-17.
- Reconstitute at 0.5 mg/mL in sterile PBS.
Target Information
The protein encoded by this gene is a T cell-derived cytokine that shares sequence similarity with IL17. It stimulates the release of TNF alpha (TNF) and IL1 beta (IL1B) from monocytic cell lines. Immunohistochemical analysis indicates localization primarily to neuronal cell bodies in nerve tissues.
