Target Information
AFP (Alpha Fetoprotein)은 태아기 동안 난황낭, 장관, 간에서 생성되는 주요 혈장 단백질입니다. 성인에서 AFP 발현은 간암 또는 기형종과 관련이 있으며, 드물게 병리적 징후 없이 지속되는 경우도 있습니다. AFP는 혈청 알부민의 태아형으로 간주되며, 두 단백질의 유전자는 염색체 4번에 나란히 존재합니다. AFP는 단량체, 이량체, 삼량체 형태로 존재하며 구리, 니켈, 지방산 및 빌리루빈과 결합할 수 있습니다. 양수 내 AFP 농도는 신경관 결손(이분척추증, 무뇌증) 선별검사에 사용되며, 혈청 AFP 수치 상승은 간세포암(HCC), 기형종, 대장암, 췌장암 및 생식세포 종양 환자에서 관찰됩니다.
