For reconstitution, add 100 µL of distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

CD80 (B7-1) and CD86 (B7-2) act as ligands for the T cell costimulatory molecule CD28 and inhibitory receptor CTLA-4 (CD152).
These molecules are expressed on professional antigen-presenting cells and are essential for T cell activation.
CD80 is rapidly induced on activated B cells, EBV-transformed B cell lines, Burkitt’s lymphoma cells, follicular B lymphoma cells, T cells, and monocytes.
The B-lymphocyte activation antigen B7-1 provides regulatory signals for T lymphocytes through interaction with CD28 and CTLA4.
Diseases associated with CD80 dysfunction include gallbladder squamous cell carcinoma and myocarditis.
