Product Specific Information
This antibody detects endogenous levels of EEF2 only when phosphorylated at Tyr443.
Target Information
EEF2 catalyzes the GTP-dependent ribosomal translocation step during translation elongation. In this process, the ribosome transitions from the pre-translocational (PRE) to the post-translocational (POST) state as the peptidyl-tRNA and deacylated tRNA move to the P and E sites, respectively. This reaction involves coordinated movement of tRNAs, mRNA, and ribosomal conformational changes.
