Target Information
SPON1 is a cell adhesion protein that promotes the attachment of spinal cord and sensory neuron cells and the outgrowth of neurites in vitro. It may contribute to axon growth and guidance in both the spinal cord and peripheral nervous system (PNS). Known to be a major factor for vascular smooth muscle cells.
