Product Specific Information
Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. The antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits are cloned and expressed, and individual clones are screened for optimal performance.
Advantages include:
- High specificity and sensitivity
- Lot-to-lot consistency
- Animal-origin-free formulation
- Broader immunoreactivity due to the rabbit immune repertoire
Target Information
Estrogen Receptor beta (ERβ, NR3A2) is a nuclear receptor protein (~55 kDa) with multiple isoforms (36–59 kDa). Initially cloned from human testis, ERβ functions as a ligand-activated transcription factor that binds estrogen and regulates gene expression through estrogen response elements (EREs) in DNA.
Two forms of estrogen receptors exist: ERα (ESR1) and ERβ (ESR2). ERβ binds estrogens with similar affinity to ERα and can inhibit ERα activity in reproductive tissues. ERβ is widely expressed and may act as a tumor suppressor, implicated in conditions such as prostate cancer, autism spectrum disorder, medullary thyroid carcinoma, De Quervain disease, and cardiovascular disease risk.
