MA5-17176 targets SLC2A4 in indirect ELISA, FACS, ICC, IHC, IF, and WB applications, showing reactivity with Human and Mouse samples.
The immunogen is a purified recombinant fragment of human SLC2A4 (amino acids 224–353) expressed in E. coli.
This antibody detects SLC2A4 with a predicted molecular weight of approximately 54.8 kDa.

Target Information

The SLC2A4 gene encodes an insulin-regulated facilitative glucose transporter belonging to the solute carrier family 2. In the absence of insulin, this integral membrane protein is sequestered within muscle and adipose cells. Upon insulin stimulation, it rapidly translocates to the cell surface to mediate glucose uptake.
Mutations in this gene have been associated with noninsulin-dependent diabetes mellitus (NIDDM).
