Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
ANG-2 binds to the endothelial cell-specific receptor Tie-2, but unlike ANG-1, does not induce tyrosine phosphorylation.
It modulates ANG-1 activation of Tie-2 and can act as either an agonist or antagonist of Tie-2–induced angiogenesis depending on the environment.
ANG-1, ANG-2, and Tie-2 interactions are essential for embryonic and adult angiogenesis.
ANG-2 is involved in sprouting, tube formation, and maintaining structural integrity of new blood vessels.
Mature human ANG-2 is a secreted protein with 480 amino acid residues, composed of an alpha-helix-rich coiled coil N-terminal domain and a fibrinogen-like C-terminal domain, existing mainly as a disulfide-linked dimer.
