Target Information
The WNT gene family consists of structurally related genes encoding secreted signaling proteins. These proteins are involved in oncogenesis and developmental processes such as cell fate regulation and patterning during embryogenesis.
The WNT5B gene encodes a protein with 94% amino acid identity to mouse Wnt5b and 80% to human WNT5A. Alternative splicing produces two transcript variants.
