Product Specific Information
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using an epitope-specific immunogen. The purity is greater than 95% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Target Information
P2Y6 belongs to the family of G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs). This receptor family includes several subtypes with overlapping pharmacological selectivity for various adenosine and uridine nucleotides. P2Y6 is responsive to UDP, partially responsive to UTP and ADP, and not responsive to ATP. Expression of P2Y6 has been documented in blood cells, bone marrow, brain, colon, heart, kidney, ovary, placenta, spleen, and thymus. ESTs have also been isolated from cervix, embryo, eye, kidney, liver/spleen, placenta, and vessel libraries.
