Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. These systems clone specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits, followed by screening to select optimal production candidates.

Target Information
AHR (Ah Receptor) belongs to a protein family including ARNT (HIF-1 Beta) and Drosophila proteins PER and SIM.
AHR contains an N-terminal PAS domain (~200 amino acids) and binds specific DNA enhancer sequences to initiate transcription of cytochrome P-450 (CYPIA1) mRNA.
It acts as a ligand-activated transcription factor regulating responses to planar aromatic hydrocarbons and xenobiotic-metabolizing enzymes such as cytochrome P450.
Known ligands include polycyclic and halogenated aromatic compounds such as TCDD.
In non-ligand activated cells, AHR is complexed with HSP90 in the cytoplasm. Upon ligand binding, AHR translocates to the nucleus, dissociates from HSP90, and forms a heterodimer with ARNT.
Diseases associated with AHR include eosinophilic fasciitis and seborrheic dermatitis.
