Product Specific Information
This antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum using an epitope-specific immunogen. The purity is greater than 95% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Target Information
NFKB1 or NFKB2 binds with REL, RELA, or RELB to form the NFKB complex. This complex is inhibited by I-kappa-B proteins (NFKBIA or NFKBIB), which retain NF-kappa-B in the cytoplasm. Phosphorylation of serine residues on I-kappa-B proteins by kinases (IKBKA or IKBKB) leads to their degradation via the ubiquitination pathway, enabling activation of the NF-kappa-B complex. Activated NFKB translocates to the nucleus and binds DNA at kappa-B-binding motifs such as 5'-GGGRNNYYCC-3' or 5'-HGGARNYYCC-3'. Activation may also require interaction with other transcription factors such as STAT, AP1, and NFAT.
