Target Information
MEK1 (MAP Kinase Kinase, MKK로도 알려짐)은 세포 성장 및 분화를 조절하는 MAP kinase cascade의 핵심 구성 요소입니다 (Ahn, 1993; Chong et al., 2003). 특히 뇌에서는 시냅스 기능 조절에 중요한 역할을 합니다 (Adams and Sweatt, 2002). 활성화된 MEK1은 MAP kinase의 트레오닌과 타이로신 잔기를 모두 인산화하는 이중 특이성 키나아제로 작용합니다 (Kyriakis et al., 1991; Seger et al., 1991; Crews et al., 1992).
