Target Information
Protein Kinase C (PKC) isoforms는 세포 신호전달 경로에 관여하는 serine/threonine kinase로, 분화, 증식, 유전자 발현, 뇌 기능, 막 운반, 세포골격 및 세포외기질 단백질의 조직화 등 다양한 생리적 과정에 영향을 줍니다.
PKC는 세포 주기 진입 및 종료, G1 및 G2 체크포인트 등 중요한 세포 주기 전환의 주요 조절자로 작용하며, PKC 활성 시점 및 특정 isozyme에 따라 그 조절 효과는 긍정적 또는 부정적으로 나타날 수 있습니다.
현재 인간에서 alpha, beta I, beta II, gamma, delta, epsilon, zeta, eta, theta, iota, lambda, mu 등 최소 12종의 PKC isoform이 확인되었으며, 각 isoform은 구조, 세포 내 위치, 조직 분포 및 외부 신호 반응에서 차이를 보입니다.
PKC beta II는 심근, 장 상피, 신장, 췌장에서 발현되며, 세포 주기 진행 및 암세포 증식과 관련이 있음이 보고되었습니다.
