This antibody detects endogenous levels of total MCM5 protein.
Target Information
The protein encoded by this gene is structurally similar to the CDC46 protein from S. cerevisiae, which is involved in the initiation of DNA replication. The encoded protein belongs to the MCM family of chromatin-binding proteins and can interact with other family members. It is upregulated during the G0 to G1/S transition of the cell cycle and may play an active role in cell cycle regulation.
