For reconstitution, add 100 µL of distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments using this carrier-free antibody, perform an additional desalting step (e.g., Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

SATB1 (DNA-binding protein SATB1) is a critical silencing factor involved in the initiation of X inactivation mediated by Xist RNA during embryogenesis and in lymphoma.
It binds to DNA at AT-rich sequences and nuclear matrix/scaffold-associated regions, recognizing the sugar-phosphate backbone of double-stranded DNA.
SATB1 functions as a transcriptional repressor regulating gene expression through chromatin-loop remodeling, affecting genes essential for T-cell maturation (CD8SP).
Additionally, SATB1-binding sites provide a chromatin context preferentially targeted by HIV-1 integration machinery, and HIV-1 Tat can counteract SATB1-mediated repression of IL1 and IL2RA by competing for HDAC1 binding.
