Product Specific Information

Description:
The MIH1 monoclonal antibody reacts with human B7-H1 (PD-L1), a member of the B7 family with a molecular weight of approximately 40 kDa. B7-H1 is expressed on most leukocytes and serves as a ligand for PD-1. Interaction of PD-1 with PD-L1 or PD-L2 inhibits T and B cell responses. MIH1 is reported to be a blocking antibody.

Applications Reported:
Reported for use in flow cytometric analysis.

Applications Tested:
Pre-titrated and tested by flow cytometric analysis of normal human peripheral blood cells. Recommended use: 5 µL (0.5 µg) per test (100 µL final volume). Cell number: 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test.

Target Information

Programmed death receptor ligand 1 (PD-L1, B7-H1) is a B7 family member that binds to PD-1, negatively regulating T-cell receptor (TCR) signaling. PD-L1 engagement reduces TCR-mediated proliferation and cytokine production. It is abundantly expressed on various murine and human cancers and can be upregulated by IFN-γ stimulation, suggesting a role in tumor immune evasion.
