Product Specific Information

The 11-26c monoclonal antibody reacts with the delta heavy chain of mouse IgD. It does not react with other classes of mouse immunoglobulin including IgA, IgG, or IgM. IgD is expressed by peripheral mature B cells, and 11-26c does not activate B cells.

Applications Reported: Suitable for flow cytometric analysis.
Applications Tested: Tested by flow cytometric analysis of mouse splenocytes. Recommended ≤0.125 µg per test (100 µL final volume). Cell number may range from 10⁵ to 10⁸ cells/test. Antibody should be titrated for optimal performance.

Target Information

IgD is a type I transmembrane protein co-expressed with membrane IgM on mature naive B cells. It also exists as a soluble form in serum and is involved in B cell receptor signaling upon antigen binding.
