Target Information
MINA is a nuclear-localized, myc-inducible protein involved in mammalian cell proliferation.
Silencing MINA with siRNA in cancer cell lines (e.g., SW680) inhibits cell growth, suggesting its potential as a therapeutic target.
MINA regulates genes related to cell adhesion and metabolism, including c-Myc–regulated genes and others such as EGFR, IL-6, and HGF.
It also represses IL-4 expression in T cells, indicating a role in T cell differentiation and Th2 bias.
