Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
MMP13 (collagenase 3) is involved in the degradation of extracellular matrix proteins such as fibrillar collagen, fibronectin, tenascin-C (TNC), and aggrecan (ACAN).
It cleaves triple-helical collagens including type I, II, and III, showing highest activity with soluble type II collagen.
MMP13 contributes to wound healing, tissue remodeling, cartilage degradation, bone development, mineralization, and ossification.
Mutations in MMP13 are linked to skeletal disorders such as spondyloepimetaphyseal dysplasia Missouri type, metaphyseal anadysplasia 1, and metaphyseal dysplasia Sphar type.
