Product Specific Information

For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

MMP13 (collagenase 3) is involved in the degradation of extracellular matrix proteins including fibrillar collagen, fibronectin, tenascin C (TNC), and aggrecan (ACAN).
It cleaves triple helical collagens (types I, II, III) with highest activity on soluble type II collagen, and can degrade collagen types IV, XIV, and X.
MMP13 plays a critical role in wound healing, tissue remodeling, cartilage degradation, bone development, mineralization, and ossification.
Mutations in MMP13 can lead to skeletal dysplasias such as spondyloepimetaphyseal dysplasia Missouri type, metaphyseal anadysplasia 1, and metaphyseal dysplasia Sphar type.
