Product Specific Information
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using an epitope-specific immunogen. The purity is greater than 95% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Target Information
The PBX1 gene encodes a nuclear protein belonging to the PBX homeobox family of transcription factors. It is implicated in the regulation of osteogenesis and skeletal patterning. A chromosomal translocation t(1;19) involving PBX1 and TCF3/E2A is associated with pre-B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia. The resulting fusion protein constitutively activates transcription of PBX-regulated genes. Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified.
