Product Specific Information
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using an epitope-specific immunogen. Purity is greater than 95% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Target Information
Defects in COX10 are associated with mitochondrial complex IV deficiency (MT-C4D), also known as cytochrome c oxidase deficiency. This disorder affects the mitochondrial respiratory chain and presents with heterogeneous clinical manifestations, from isolated myopathy to severe multisystem disease. Symptoms may include hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, hepatomegaly, liver dysfunction, hypotonia, muscle weakness, exercise intolerance, developmental delay, and mental retardation. Some patients may present with Leigh syndrome.
