Product Specific Information

For reconstitution, add 100 µL of distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments using this carrier-free antibody, perform an additional desalting step (e.g., Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

Arylamine N-acetyltransferases (NAT-1 and NAT-2) catalyze N- or O-acetylation of heterocyclic and arylamine substrates involved in detoxification of various drugs.
Certain alleles with high N-acetyltransferase activity are associated with colon and urinary bladder cancers, as NATs can bioactivate several carcinogens.
Both NAT-1 and NAT-2 are cytoplasmic enzymes that play critical roles in detoxifying arylamine and hydrazine drugs.
N-acetylation polymorphism correlates with NAT activity levels in liver tissues and influences the metabolism and toxicity of amine-containing drugs.
Human NAT-1 is the functional homolog of rodent NAT-2, while human NAT-2 corresponds to rodent NAT-1.
