Product Specific Information

For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to reach a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, an additional desalting step is recommended (e.g., Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

Damaged DNA binding protein (DDB) is a heterodimer composed of two subunits, p127 (DDB1) and p48 (DDB2). The DDB heterodimer plays a key role in repairing DNA damaged by ultraviolet light.
DDB, also known as UV-damaged DNA binding protein (UV-DDB), xeroderma pigmentosum group E binding factor (XPE-BF), and hepatitis B virus X-associated protein 1 (XAP-1), binds to damaged cyclobutane pyrimidine dimers (CPDs).
Mutations in the DDB2 gene cause xeroderma pigmentosum group E (XPE), an autosomal recessive disease characterized by hypersensitivity to sunlight, increased skin cancer risk, and neurological abnormalities.
The HBV X protein interacts with DDB1, which may mediate HBx transactivation.
